Plant based drinks and food are gaining recognition and increased used. If you are one of those exploring plant based drink, this is something you should consider. Typically milkshakes are taken cold but this can also be taken warm.
In addition to the benefits that can come from the nutrients of the ingredients used for this milkshake, I would also like to state that it is relatively affordable especially for people who have oats readily available in their pantry and it’s also easy to make. So win win? I think so.
These are the ingredients I used

A cup of oats
1/3 cup of dates
1/3 cup of peanut (optional)
1/3 teaspoon of powdered cinnamon
A cup and some of water.
What did I do?
I poured the oats into a cup and added hot water and stirred. This helped the oats soften and cook sufficiently for my milkshake.

The oats and water in it was then poured into a blender and the other ingredients, dates, peanut and cinnamon, were added.
About a third a cup or so water was added to the blender while the milkshake mix was being blended to improve the blending process and to achieve the consistency I wanted. Once it was blended to my taste. I poured it into a mug and it was good to go.
It can be had warm but I decided to put mine in the freezer till it was cold. I ended up blending in some mango before drinking. The good thing about this milkshake is that it has no added processed sugars and it also is filling because of the oats.
