Today on the blog, as you can tell from the title, I have pancakes made with golden morn. Golden morn is a whole corn flour based cereal often taken in the morning by children and adults too. If you have been following my blogging journey for a while you may have noticed that I have been exploring pancakes.

I like pancakes because they are easy to make and easy to switch up. It is also probably likely that the ingredients needed to make your pancakes are easily accessible in your kitchen pantry. You usually don’t need machines to do this and so it’s relatively cheap to make at home.

So let me take you through this particular pancake journey.

What did I use?

3 tablespoons of golden morn

3 tablespoons of powdered oats flour

A pinch of salt

1/3 tablespoon of sugar

1/3 tablespoon of baking powder

1/3 cup of water

One whole egg.

What did I do?

I transferred all the ingredients, minus water, into a measuring cup and stirred until a thick paste formed.

Once I added the water, the batter was the right consistency I needed to pan fry. One table spoon of vegetable oil was poured into the small frying pan on fire and a tablespoon of the pancake batter was added. It took about 30 second to 1 minute for each side to fry. Keep an eye on it, so it does not burn.

There you have it. My oat meal and golden morn pancakes. The small size means they are easy snacks for children and adults. Yup, you just got an idea of what to make for your next meet up. You are welcome!

What changes have you made to regular pancakes to make them unique?

As ALWAYS, Thank you for reading. If you do try this, please come back and comment.
