Zobo tea with a difference, like I like to say, the quintessential way. π. Ah so I am trying to do some cleansing that incorporates good drinks too.
I didn’t have powdered zobo, but the Zobo leaf did just fine.

So you see me, blurred in the background because the focus is on the drink, but you see me nonetheless. π
When did I have this drink? After a work out session. I am trying to combine different lifestyle activities that can help improve my health, hopefully, I stick to them.

What did I use?
About a handful of zobo leaves
1/2 cucumber
3/4 small size watermelon
One Ginger
1/4 cup of squeezed lemon
21/2 cups of water
Three tablespoons of sugar

What did I do?
I cleaned the zobo leaves, boiled water and added the zobo leaves to it. The ginger was peeled, grated and added to the zobo water and allowed to sit for about 5 minutes. Don’t have a blender? No problem.
I used the smallest side of this four sided grater to grate the cucumber and watermelon, sort of like juicing it. After grating, I sieved it’s to extract the juice and remove the seeds.
The zobo mix was also sieved and poured into a bowl. The juiced watermelon and cucumber was added to the bowl with the lemon and about three tablespoons of sugar. The sugar is optional because the watermelon gives it some sweetness.
I think it’s good hot, warm or cold. The leaves can be used to make an extra cup of zobo tea before discarding.

Here you have it. My beautiful, sweet, delicious and healthy zobo drink. Shall we say three way? I guess I can, since it can be enjoyed at different temperatures.

What drinks have you had that can be enjoyed cold or hot?

Did you really drink this? Does the cucumber do anything to the taste?

I did really drink it and it tastes great. The cucumber makes the flavored dynamic. Watermelon add some sweetness and a little sugar was added but even without added sweetener, I would enjoy it just fine. π
