How are you doing? Happy new week to you. I have new post on my YouTube channel, check it out Here. YouTube: Quintessential Faith.
On to the day’s post. Boiled rice and beans with Fried chicken, bell pepper and cucumber sauce. Food. It’s an interesting topic. Some people like to talk about it, others like to manipulate it and some people just like to sit and enjoy good food. So I have good food for you on my blog today. Good looking and good tasting. If you would like to check out other food based posts click here. Food based posts.
We have often been told to combine vegetable, carbohydrates and protein in our meals. I think this meal does that well. So read on, enjoy the read, salivate and make plans to make yours.
So what did I use?
Four cloves of garlic
Thumb size ginger
One spring onion
Two green bell peppers
One red bell pepper
One cucumber
Handful of green beans
Fried chicken equivalent of two thighs
Three table spoons of soy sauce
A table spoonful of turmeric
A table spoonful of grounded fresh pepper
One knorr cube
Two pinches of salt
A serving spoon of vegetable oil

What did I do?
I cut all the vegetables, the green peppers, red pepper, spring onion, cucumber and green beans. The chicken was cut into small sizes. The garlic was peeled, cleaned and grated and the same was done with the ginger.

A pan was put on a stove and oil added. When the oil was hot, chicken, cucumber and green beans was added to the pan with the knorr, garlic and ginger. This was allowed to fry for about 2 minutes. Soy sauce was then added and the mix was stir fried for 3 minutes. The remaining vegetables, spring onions and bell peppers, along with turmeric, pepper and salt was added to the pan and the mix was stir fried for 5 minutes.

Sauce ready!
I served it with cooked beans and cooked rice

So beautiful. So delicious. You should definitely give this a try. Thank you for reading. What sauces have you made recently using less conventional ingredient? The less conventional ingredient here is the cucumber. It typically features in my smoothies.
